scores for walking are gentle ways to say a little hello to body, a hello to the place you are in. these walks are meant to be taken at a slow to medium pace. some walks are written scores- experiments, investigations, ways of being with place internal/external. these walks have been created via grants from the university of illinois- urbana-champaign, and conversations with people + places: small fishing villages in costa rica, high up in mountains and on rooftops in new mexico, cliff walking in portugal, midnight forest walking in wales, prairies and walmarts and sidewalks in the states, and the croft residency.
Some walks are audio scores- the duration of each walk about 45 minutes. the audio scored walks were recorded along paths and rivers in the midwest and can be experienced in urban, rural, indoor and outdoor place. nothing is needed to take this walk except you, a place to walk (OR SIT AND read/LISTEN) and some headphones for listening.
